Auricular Acupuncture by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA)

CTR offers Auricular Acupuncture as part of its myriad of services for trauma survivors. CTR staff have become certified in Auricular Acupuncture by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) and/or People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA).

The protocol encourages wellness through the use of a standardized auricular acupuncture/acupressure protocol for behavioral health concerns, including addictions, mental health, and disaster and emotional trauma.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga

A mindful, choice-based movement practice that combines breath, posture, and awareness to improve flexibility, strength, and nervous system balance

Each series of classes is co-facilitated by a certified yoga instructor and a counselor. Gentle poses, combined with breathing and relaxation techniques, help participants learn to listen to their bodies and make healthy choices for body, mind and spirit. This is an effective evidenced-based, behavioral health treatment specially designed to reduce symptoms of trauma. Classes are available in multiple languages as well.
